When is microcement a good idea?

  • Old tiling you want to cover
  • Dark grout that will not come clean
  • You want seamless floors and walls
  • Level-access walk-in shower

What microcement application includes

  • Preparing the surface

Cleaning, crack repair and filling the joints of existing tiles.

  • Primer and mesh

Bonding primer and fibreglass mesh to prevent cracking.

  • Base and finishing coats

Several trowelled coats, sanded between each one.

  • Colour and texture

Your choice of shade, with a smooth, silky or grainier finish.

  • Protective sealer

Polyurethane varnish that repels water and makes cleaning easy.

  • Showers, worktops and stairs

Built-in shower trays, worktops and steps in the same finish.

Coat by coat

During the visit we check the surface: whether the tiles are firm, whether there are cracks or damp, and which areas will run seamlessly. From there we prepare a detailed written quote.

The site manager organises preparation, primer and mesh. We then trowel on the base and finishing coats, letting each one dry properly.

We seal with varnish, remove the protection and clean up. The surface is ready to use once the sealer has cured.

Frequently asked questions

01

Can microcement go over tiles?

Yes, as long as the tiles are firmly bonded. We fill the joints and apply primer and mesh, so there is no breaking out and no rubble.

02

Is microcement slippery in a shower?

It need not be. In wet areas we use a grainier finish and a non-slip sealer suitable for bare feet.

03

How do you look after it?

Water and a neutral soap, no bleach or abrasive products. Over time the varnish can be renewed without redoing the microcement.

04

How much does a complete renovation cost?

There is no single price. The estimate depends on the condition and size of the home, the scope of the project, materials and work required. Tell us your idea so we can assess your specific case.

05

How long does a renovation take?

It depends on the type of home, the scope of the work and the project's constraints. Once we have studied the renovation, we can give you a more accurate estimate.

06

Can a home be renovated while people still live in it?

It depends on the scope, estimated duration and condition of the home. When we study the project, we will assess whether it is feasible and what precautions or alternatives should be considered.

07

How can I request an estimate?

Choose what you want to renovate, tell us whether the work is partial or complete, and leave your name, phone number and email. This lets us provide initial guidance. You can also write to us directly on WhatsApp.
