What we look at before the first tile goes down
In areas such as Centre and Can Magarola, where frost is not unusual, terrace and entrance floors suffer from freezing. We choose low-absorption porcelain rated for outdoor use and an adhesive that copes with temperature swings.
With large formats, increasingly requested in areas such as Alella Parc, Can Sorts and Nova Alella, adhesive goes on both the floor and the back of the tile, and we use levelling clips. That leaves no voids underneath and no lipping between neighbouring tiles.
The site manager schedules removal, levelling and tiling room by room, and we leave the floor free of cement and dust. You will also find us nearby: El Masnou, Teià and Tiana.

Frequently asked questions
01Porcelain floor tiling in Alella: which areas do you cover?
We work in Alella in areas such as Centre, Can Magarola, Alella Parc, Can Sorts, Nova Alella and El Solell, and also nearby: El Masnou, Teià and Tiana.
02Can porcelain go over the old floor?
Often, yes, if the current floor is solid and flat. Door heights and thresholds with other rooms need checking, and we look at both during the visit.
03What does large-format porcelain need?
A very flat base, double-spread adhesive and levelling clips. Big tiles mean fewer joints, but the setting out and cutting have to be more precise.
04Can the same tile run from the living room to the terrace?
Only if the range has an outdoor non-slip version with the slip rating the CTE requires. Many collections offer both, so the floor can flow outside.
